Automatic Smart Charging identifies the lowest-cost periods you can charge to meet your upcoming driving needs (while considering overall grid conditions) and automatically schedules your EV to charge during those periods.
Based on these inputs, WeaveGrid algorithms prioritize meeting the following goals in order:
- Get your car charged up by the time you need it
- Charge at the cheapest times
- Charge when energy generation is cheapest or electric grid stress is lowest
Once enrolled, you’ll receive notifications about your upcoming schedules through your preferred method (web and/or SMS texts). You can choose to keep the scheduled SMS notifications or let them fade out after the first 5 notifications. You can always customize your schedule settings from your WeaveGrid dashboard.
If you ever need to charge immediately, you can always override smart schedules by replying “CHARGE NOW” to 59972 to start charging. You can also override your schedule directly on your charger or app, or your Tesla's console or app.
